Serviced by two major interstates (I-20 & I-59), Tuscaloosa is a convenient drive from neighboring states of Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and northern Florida, as well as eastern Louisiana. If your trip calls for air travel, Tuscaloosa is a one-hour drive from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and a three-hour drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, both of which are serviced by all major U.S. air carriers. Rental cars and paid shuttles are available from each airport to Tuscaloosa.

Please be advised, hotels in the Tuscaloosa area have limited availability and above average pricing on weekends of Crimson Tide football home games and UA Commencement. If you’re planning to visit on a weekend when one of those events occur, additional accommodations can be found in Birmingham and Hoover, Alabama.
